Regional Reflections #2 Feb 2023
Gwenaelle Villette, Director of Sales – France, Peerless-AV,
is the 2022 MVH Top Gun Sales Star winner, an internal award recognising her
long service contribution to the business and year on year sales growth in the French
region.
We praise Gwen’s commendable achievements, and, in this
latest Regional Reflections Blog, we hear about her time with Peerless-AV so
far….
“Time flies when you’re having fun. It seems like yesterday when
I started on my first day nine years ago and, as I celebrate my work
anniversary, I take a look back at all the changes I’ve seen over the years.
Peerless-AV has not only progressed and grown in terms of sales and
profitability, but the team has also expanded significantly, especially in European
territories such as Germany, Nordics and Benelux. Our operational capabilities
have also been strengthened with warehouse facilities established in The
Netherlands and, most recently, a new, larger office HQ and warehouse location in
the UK. In terms of products, our range has evolved so much over nine years,
it’s incredible. We are no longer just a mount manufacturer but we also design,
engineer and fabricate large scale, complex and challenging, custom
infrastructure for dvLED video wall installations. Our outdoor display and
kiosk range has also advanced according to changing needs of customers and
markets; for example, to accommodate larger screen sizes and environmental
considerations. We also manufacture custom Electronic Vehicle Charging Stations
for Volta in the US. These new emerging technology areas have been fantastic
door openers to integrators, resellers and consultants serving diverse end customer
applications and vertical markets.
When I started in 2014, we started as an unfamiliar brand in
the country and now we are one of the leaders with strong brand awareness having
built deep-seated relationships with the leading AV distributors – Sidev, FVS
and Tech Data Maverick. Going from one person to a sales team of three has been
instrumental in covering such a large region, which also includes French
speaking territories Morocco, Martinique and Guadeloupe.
Which brings me onto one of the major highlights of my
career to date – securing the biggest and most unique dvLED project for our
EMEA business with the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University installation in
Morocco, in partnership with Atrait Consulting, Cegelec Maroc and Samsung. The
University’s new auditorium features the largest immersive video wall in North
Africa, measuring a massive 87.84m W x 2.7m H and a radius of 313.46 degrees.
This is a project that myself and the team at Peerless-AV are extremely proud
of!
Every year, since 2020 and the pandemic, we have looked ahead with uncertainty, but every year we have grown significantly. We are living in a time of economic uncertainty. However, for 2023, my outlook is positive. January started well and ISE provided a great platform to meet customers and showcase our new, innovative products. These new products put us in a great position and lead over competitors; we are pioneering and setting standards, especially in dvLED mounting solutions. Now we must get out there and sell. After all, I have a reputation of Top Gun Sales Star to uphold 😉
