Regional Reflections - Jeroen Helms

Jeroen Helms, Regional Director Sales EMEA for Benelux, France and Iberia tells us his views on LED market maturity and the importance of getting the mounting solution ‘behind the scenes’ right first time:

Coming from a digital signage background, like many of my peers, I’ve seen the transformation of intro level signage ten or so years ago, to content and experience-led campaigns that are more custom, more personalised, more creative, embracing screens of all shapes, sizes and configurations. Having worked for one of the major display brands and deploying go to market strategies for LED in the Benelux, it’s incredible to see just how much this market has grown worldwide in such a short time. Compared to two years ago, for example, there are so many LED brands on the market today and standards are the highest they’ve ever been. LED is now in its maturity, coming on leaps and bounds in terms of cost, quality and accessibility.

In parallel, mounting solutions have developed and matured to stay ahead of the game; to reflect the evolving needs of the LED brands and installers. Whether a standard, or 1:1 dedicated, or customised mounting system for unique applications is required, we have the answer – for every configuration, for any shape, for any size, we have a mount to match with the technical features to ensure perfect display alignment. As indoor LED growth continues, we are in the sweet spot. As pixel pitches come down, the resolution per metre goes up so choice of cabinet gets more and more important, as does the mounting solution. The choice of mount with the right flexibility is crucial. Knowing how and where to start installing LED requires expertise, from site assessment to preparing the space, building the frame and fixing perfectly level to the wall with x,y,z axis adjustments, even before the cabinets are mounted. We have the knowledge, experience and opportunity to help installers with pre- and post-sales support on their LED projects, including CAD drawings, training and on-site assistance, so that they can achieve perfectly aligned LED video walls without any issues. Too many times we have been called to consult on a competitor project that hasn’t been successful because the lack of adjustment has caused damage and replacement of modules. And a video wall with damaged pixels is an installers nightmare, no matter the customer, application or size of project. Do your research and partner with the experts to get the technology right behind the scenes first time, so the only worry installers have is what to do with the time and money they’ve saved, and the only reaction audiences will have is “wow”.
