The finalists for the 2016 AV Awards have been revealed and
we’re pleased to see some of our partners have made it in the Company and
Project categories. It’s great to see recognition for such innovative
installations – and using our mounts as well!
Well done to Pioneer, shortlisted for ‘KFC goes
digital with Pioneer Group’ in the Retail Project of the Year category. The
company was tasked with developing digital menu boards for finger
licking fast food chain KFC in 2011 and now monitors and maintains nearly 1,200
digital menus in over 240 stores UK wide – a figure that’s growing year on
year. Pioneer chose Peerless-AV
as the preferred mount supplier for the project, using the SFX650P Universal
Flat Wall Mount for LG’s 42in and 47in flat panel displays. A customised
version was also developed specifically to cater for the smaller size 32in
screens in the KFC installation. The mounts were chosen for their flexible open
wall plate design, ease of install and convenient vertical micro-adjustment for
a seamless menu board appearance. Peerless-AV has demonstrated its ability to
supply a premium mounting solution and deliver in large volumes, within tight
time constraints.
Congratulations also to Electrosonic for making the
shortlist with their project ‘Exhibitionism – The Rolling Stones’ in the
Entertainment Venue of the Year category. Electrosonic provided AV
systems integration for Exhibitionism - the first ever major exhibition by the
Rolling Stones and the largest touring exhibition of its kind ever to be staged
by any band or artist. Installed in just three
weeks, nearly 70 screens, stunning projection and a powerful audio system help
to depict the Stones’ 50 year and counting career in this unique and
interactive experience. The exhibition is currently located at the Saatchi
Gallery in London until 4 September 2016. It is then set to embark on a world
tour of 11 cities over four years. Peerless-AV were pleased to be able to
support the project with a number of projector mounts and wall mounts. Packed
with innovative features designed to save time and costs on-site, the mounts
are designed to enhance any professional AV installation and are manufactured
to the highest levels of quality and safety for high traffic public
environments such as this.
