Waiting in line for a ride may be one of the most annoying
parts of visiting an amusement park, but with digital signage, this waiting
period can be transformed into an entertaining interlude for thousands of
visitors. Amusement parks main objectives are to entertain guests, so what
better way to do this than with multiple screens filled with eye catching visuals
and engaging content. Digital signage
can be used in amusement parks in the following ways:
- Perceived wait time- the solution to making a guest experience as pleasant as possible while waiting in a queue is digital signage. Content can include music videos to themed trivia and can be adjusted to suit the audience of each ride, for instance cartoons can be played to keep children amused during queuing for a children’s ride.
- Advertisements- advertising options are endless with digital signage and can be used to advertise other offerings at the theme park such as shops, cafes and restaurants, photographers and more. Reaching many different audiences and sending out multiple messages is easier than ever through digital signage.
- Create an immersive digital experience- by incorporating digital content into a ride, theme parks can create a richly enhanced guest experience. Digital signage can be used to display the rides countdown, or it could be used to simulate an experience for example.
- Easily update content- staff can easily and quickly update content from one single computer and have this displayed on multiple screens throughout the theme park. Different screens can display different messages and images too.
What’s your favourite example of digital signage at a theme
