1) Integrate your digital signage with your current marketing strategy
During your initial stages of planning to implement your digital signage, make sure to take the time to think about the full scope of the design; does it fit seamlessly with your current branding? Are you targeting the right audience?
2) Use animations
With more and more businesses adopting digital signage, it is important to stand out from the crowd and use eye-catching animations that will draw in your audience.
3) Allow for interaction
If possible, create a digital display that is interactive and will keep your audience engaged with your brand for as long as possible.
4) Know your audience
Think about where your digital signage will be placed. For instance, different marketing techniques will have to be used for customers who walk by quickly or are on an escalator to those who are walking around in a shopping centre or waiting in an office. Also keep in mind what the most appropriate font size will be for these conditions and how quickly the animations will need to move.
5) Keep your content up to date
If the same customers pass your digital signage on a weekly basis you will need to refresh your message more frequently to reduce the amount of ‘tuning out’ people will do.
