Have you ever imagined what it would be like to have tens of
screens at the control of a single keyboard? This is exactly what operators of
large stadiums have now, and Leicester City Football Club (LCFC), based at the
King Power Stadium are the latest to invest. The stadium revamp included the
addition of Peerless-AV’s Full Service mounting solutions to provide a reliable
and easy to use digital signage network that not only delivers live match day
content, but also provides an ideal AV solution for stylish presentations.
No doubt the proliferation of digital
displays in sporting venues has revolutionised spectator experience, and by
installing a top spec, large scale video wall, the club is definitely proving
that they are staying ahead of the game. Installed in the Keith Weller Suite,
the club recognised that this new video wall would help improve engagement with
members and bring the room to life, whilst enforcing brand identity at the same
time. Additionally, the video wall
needed to be tailored to the various target audiences who visit the stadium
other events, including conferences, team building days, dinners, graduation
ceremonies, corporate receptions, private parties, civil ceremonies and wedding
receptions.
The installation needed to be completed in a short timescale
and Pioneer Digital Solutions took on the task with a flexible 4x4 video wall
system encompassing 16 LG 47wv50br 47” Super Narrow Bezel Displays with four
Datapath video controllers, supporting scale up of images to full HD 1080p
resolution. For the mounting solutions, Pioneer chose our DS-VW765-LAND FullService Video Wall Mount which features an innovative design combined with a
mount that is ready to install right out of the box, making it the fastest
installing video wall system ever. The new design is now 20% lighter than
previous models and packed with time saving features like tool-less micro
adjustments and easy access to any display for quick serviceability. The custom
wall plate spacers eliminate guesswork and on site installation calculations
and the mount also features integrated cable management tie backs to make
display-to-display cabling simple.
With this new video wall installed, members can watch high
quality video streaming on match days and the 10 button switcher means that the
operations team can control the video wall settings for match day or non-match
day. On non-match days, the video wall can be used for presentations for
exhibitions, banquets and other bookings.
The flexibility of this video wall solution has enabled the
operations team to manage their content and target information to specific
audiences.
