From a design and aesthetics point of view, the idea of a recessed screen that is completely flush with the surrounding wall is one that will appeal to most clients. Yet, for the installer this isn’t always the easiest of tasks to achieve.
Among concerns installers may have is finding sufficient space around the screen to hang and secure the bracket, whilst still retaining the ability to access the rear of the screen for future servicing.
We’re often asked which of our products are suitable for recessed screens. To assist with a quick and easy installation, many of our mounts simply ‘hook and hang’ to the wall. However, if the mount is recessed to the wall or fitted into a frame, this can raise issues.
If this is the case, ideally, there needs to be enough space kept at the top of the recess to lower the mount onto the wall plate and additionally, leave enough space beneath the mount to access the screws on vertical strips so they can be tightened. If adequate room cannot be made spare, there are a number of alternative solutions from Peerless-AV that could be exactly what you need.
